Description

Marketing and Communications Generalist

Inline Group Inc. | Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta
Inline Group is looking for an organized, hardworking, and hands-on Marketing and Communications Generalist with a strong foundation in B2B marketing and internal communications to support our continued growth across Canada. We’re looking for someone who understands B2B marketing, ideally within construction, engineering, or technical services, and knows how to turn business needs into clear, engaging, and effective marketing and communications.

As this role supports corporate communications, internal messaging, and public-facing content, exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate complex information clearly, concisely, and effectively, with an excellent command of English grammar, tone, clarity, and professional business writing.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety and is comfortable managing multiple projects from start to finish. You’ll support marketing and communications initiatives across the organization, including internal communications, content development, digital marketing, brand initiatives, and the integration of acquired businesses.

This position may be based in either Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta, with team members working in-office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and from home on Wednesdays.

What You’ll Do
  • Support the execution of Inline’s marketing and communications plans and initiatives.
  • Develop and coordinate internal communications to support consistent, effective communication across the business.
  • Draft and distribute internal communications, corporate announcements, employee communications, and other company messaging.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions through brand integration, employee communications, and organizational change initiatives.
  • Support the alignment and integration of existing and acquired brands to help maintain a consistent corporate identity.
  • Coordinate and execute digital marketing, social media, website content, SEO, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Develop clear, engaging content that showcases our projects, technical expertise, people, and business accomplishments.
  • Provide a broad range of marketing and communications support to Business Development, People Operations, and Operations.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to support the delivery of marketing materials, campaigns, and projects.
  • Support corporate events, client engagement, and community initiatives.

What You Bring
  • 3+ years of marketing and communications experience, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Experience in construction, engineering, industrial services, or technical professional services is an asset.
  • Experience supporting internal communications, corporate messaging, employee communications, or change communications.
  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, brand integration, or acquisition-related communications is an asset.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, including strong professional business writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute marketing content, communications, campaigns, and projects.
  • Experience with LinkedIn, digital marketing, website management, SEO, and content development.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience coordinating with external vendors and managing projects from start to finish.
  • Relevant post-secondary education in marketing, communications, public relations, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Who Will Thrive Here
  • You’re a highly organized, dependable, and collaborative professional who enjoys being hands-on. You can write a great piece of content, coordinate multiple projects, manage competing deadlines, and work comfortably with employees and leaders across the organization.
  • You enjoy bringing structure to a growing business, building strong working relationships, and helping people stay informed and connected through change.
  • You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve, and you take pride in delivering high-quality work from start to finish.
  • You’re someone who can take an idea or business need and turn it into polished, practical marketing or communications content with minimal oversight.
