What You’ll Be Doing:
- Safety First, Always – Actively participate in Inline’s corporate HSE program and all client-mandated safety initiatives, attend site safety meetings, and promote a culture where safe work, quality, and compliance are the top priorities.
- Geotechnical Instrumentation Monitoring – Work with a range of instruments including Vibrating Wire Piezometers, Slope Inclinometers, and ShapeArray systems.
- Field Data Collection – Carry out manual readings of instruments and download dataloggers connected to geotechnical and civil instrumentation.
- Data Verification & Reduction – Perform data checks and reductions from various geotechnical and civil instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability of monitoring results.
- Installation Support – Assist with technical supervision for the installation of instruments in drillholes, excavations, and civil structures including vibrating wire, inclinometers, Shape Accel Arrays (SAAs), settlement cells/plates, temperature sensing cables, and cable trenches.
- Documentation & Reporting – Support preparation of detailed documentation including installation reports, commissioning records, and as-built drawings.
- Planning & Execution Support – Assist in preparing installation procedures and execution plans for geotechnical instruments used to monitor surface and underground geotechnical conditions.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experienced Professional – Minimum 3 years of experience in a civil construction environment with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in geotechnical instrumentation. A Geotechnical/Civil Engineering diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Technical Skills – Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Windows applications) with the ability to troubleshoot instrumentation, perform data reductions, and interpret monitoring results.
- Ready for the Job – Willing to work night shifts, hold a Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record, and be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to travel based on project demands. Mine driving experience is considered an asset.
