Inline Group Inc. has an immediate opportunity available for a highly skilled Geotechnical Laboratory Manager for our Geotechnical and Materials Laboratory in Edmonton, Alberta. The Geotechnical Laboratory Manager will oversee all aspects of our laboratory operations, including audits, quality, and safety. This position provide technical support to our geotechnical team with operation on various and project sites throughout Canada. ·          Manage staff and resources to perform laboratory testing on aggregates, soils, concrete, and asphalt.

·           Mentorship of junior and intermediate laboratory personnel.

·           Performing the laboratory testing on aggregates, concrete, soils, and asphalt as required.

·           Review of materials testing test results and reports, ensure accuracy and correctness of reports.

·           Distribution of test reports.

·           Technical support for our technicians and clients on laboratory testing requirements, standards, specification, capabilities, reporting's, and timelines.

·           Support our Edmonton laboratory with LEM generation and signage.

·           Ensure all laboratories (permanent and mobile) adheres to all applicable standards (e.g., CSA, ASTM, AASHTO).

·           Ensure all laboratories maintain its compliance and certification with CCIL (if applicable)by participating in audits and ensuring complete documents during operations.

·          Conduct internal audits on laboratory testing procedures.

·           Oversee maintenance and calibration of testing equipment used in the laboratory and on the project sites.

·           Responsible for efficient and lean laboratory operation, provide improvement inputs on a regular basis. .

·           Actively participate in Inline ISO 9001 quality program.

 

·       Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering.

·       Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction material testing as it relates to aggregates, soils, concrete, and asphalt.

·       Minimum of a C.E.T designation required. P.Eng. designation will be considered an asset

·       CCIL Certified in concrete, aggregates, and asphalt or ability to obtain certification is considered an asset

·       Experience supervising and/or managing a laboratory facility is considered an asset

·       Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external clients.

·       Must have a safety-focused inclination
